Hotel Luciano K
In 2016 one of Santiago’s favourite buildings rose from the ashes in Barrio Lastarria as the fully restored 38 room boutique hotel Luciano K.
Named after the cult Chilean architect Luciano Kulczewski who designed this art deco architectural gem, this project comes from the team behind the Santiago experience that is Casa Bueras Boutique Hotel, and it appeals to a discerning clientele who love high design, great style, arresting architecture and attentive service. A blend of old character and new design, the hotel includes a 300m² rooftop terrace complete with heated plunge pool, restaurant, bar and amazing views to the Parque Forestal and Plaza Italia.
The building was once the tallest in Chile and the first to have central heating and an electric lift, and the sympathetic restoration showcases the original elevator ‘capsule’. Original marble staircases, tiles, wooden doors and Luciano Kulczewski’s signature art deco features have all been brought back to their former glory, whilst the 38 guest rooms - Standard, Superior, Deluxe and Suites - have been very stylishly re-imagined in modern decor and with the highest comfort levels.
Lastarria is a barrio brimming with history, surrounded by the best museums, galleries, boutiques, antique stores, cinemas, theatres and innovative restaurants and bars.
